What GIS Can Do For You!
Friday, June 2, 2017
Come see a demonstration of what information-packed and layered GIS (Geographic Information Systems) mapping can do to inform your land stewardship decisions and help you more fully enjoy and understand your land and your favorite recreational areas. Multiple layers of coordinate-referenced information including hydrology, soils, topography, vegetative cover, county plat maps, LiDAR, and aerial images from the late 1930’s to the present will all be part of the presentation. Imagine moving about over 3D images of your property or viewing from the southwest what you always see looking from the east! Two attendees will have their properties chosen to become part of the projected demonstration. No computer or previous knowledge necessary.
