Youth Activities

At Valley Stewardship Network, we believe that introducing young people to the natural environment is a key to personal, environmental, and community health. Doctors and scientists and children agree! This is why we offer curriculum, tools, displays, and instruction for schools, nature centers, and conservation events in our area. We share these resources through many venues, including:

  • Water quality classes at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve for K-12
  • Homeschool programs
  • Private and public school programs on water quality and wildlife habitat
  • Annual Vernon County Conservation Day for elementary school students
  • Norskedalen Environment Day with Youth Initiative High School student educators teaching elementary school students
  • Area high school science classes and environmental clubs – water quality education activities
  • Family-friendly summer workshops
